Villa U18 1-2 West Ham U18: Youngsters edged out

Villa suffered a late defeat at the hands of West Ham in the Barclays U18 Premier League.

Thomas Strain got Villa's goal but was later denied from the penalty spot as the claret and blues were edged out by the Hammers.

Jordan Brown put the home side ahead with a striker on 20 minutes.

Then forward Strain bagged Villa's equaliser on the 70-minute mark.

But Strain missed the opportunity to put Tony McAndrew's team ahead when his penalty was saved by Sam Howes.

West Ham nicked it at the death with Brown scoring his second of the game.
