Opposition view: Big Sam - Young Villa side have grown in stature
Sam Allardyce reckons Villa's younger players have "grown in stature" since his West Ham side's last visit to Villa Park.
Allardyce used his press conference ahead of tomorrow's clash to praise Paul Lambert's Villa vision.
And the West Ham chief believes Lambert's team have used their experiences from last season to great effect in their bid to climb the Barclays Premier League table.
"I think that Paul Lambert had a massive learning curve last season with the dramatic change around of players that he made at Aston Villa," said Big Sam.
"I think that all of those young players have grown in stature based upon the experiences that they had last season.
"They are using those experiences to put Aston Villa in a better light in terms of results. They have danger men as we know."
Dudley-born Allardyce has been impressed by Villa's recent performances against Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion.
He expects them to pose a major threat to his West Ham team on Saturday.
"They've had some very good performances recently," added Allardyce.
"I'm sure he was disappointing only drawing 2-2 at Liverpool.
"They came back against West Bromwich Albion to win and they're scoring goals at the moment.
"It's a big game for us and they're a big threat at the moment.
"They're in good form and they've done very well."
