Villa have made five changes for this evening's Barclays Premier League clash against Arsenal.

Skipper Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker return to the claret and blues' defence, with Paul Lambert reverting to a 3-5-2 formation.

Brad Guzan is back in goal, while Karim El Ahmadi and Gabby Agbonlahor are also recalled.

Jed Steer, Aleksandar Tonev, Andreas Weimann, Leandro Bacuna and Marc Albrighton drop to the bench.

The Gunners have recalled Olivier Giroud to their attack in place of the injured Theo Walcott. 

VILLA: Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Baker, Luna, El Ahmadi, Westwood, Delph, Agbonlahor, Benteke. Subs: Steer, Sylla, Bacuna, Tonev, Helenius, Weimann, Albrighton.

ARSENAL: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Wilshere, Ozil, Giroud, Monreal, Cazorla, Flamini, Gnabry. Subs: Rosicky, Podolski, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabianski, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Park.
