Clark: We're all so gutted - but it's vital to come back strong
Ciaran Clark insists the entire squad is frustrated at the cup exit to Sheff Utd - but he says it's now vital to come back strong in the coming weeks.
Clark was visibly gutted as he conducted post-match interviews after the Blades blunted Villa in B6.
The defender says "we all feel it" but he believes it's vital to drive on over the weeks and months ahead.
He told AVTV: "The whole squad is so frustrated. We all feel it. All the lads hate losing. We are always gutted. We want to do our best. We try so hard every week.
"Hopefully things will turn, especially at home.
"To have all the possession in this game, create the better chances and go out is disappointing. They only had a couple of chances.
"The first one was a deflection. There's nothing that Jed could do. It deflected off my right foot and it's a horrible one for the keeper where he's already gone down.
"Then we scored and, at that point, everyone thought we would push on and get through.
"I think there was a free-kick given that everyone thought wasn't a free-kick. They got that lucky break and then the guy cut inside and, to be fair to him, he's smashed it into the top corner. But I thought the lead-up went against us. It was disappointing.
"We expected a tough game. They didn't take us by surprise. It was just so disappointing to go out of the FA Cup.
"We have Arsenal next Monday now. That will be a big game. We will look back at this game and then look forward to the Gunners. We have to concentrate on the next game. We need to concentrate fully.
"We will get together, group up and go again for the next game."
