Villa v Cardiff programme: Check out in-depth Clark interview

Cardiff City are at Villa Park for a league fixture for the first time since 1975, so there's bound to be a big demand for the Villa News & Record.

The Bluebirds have sold their full allocation of tickets, and are expected to snap up the programme in large numbers, so make sure you don't miss your copy.

The latest issue includes a poignant photo which will appeal to supporters of both clubs.

Former England international Gerry Hitchens, fondly remembered both in the Welsh capital and at Villa Park, is pictured in 1959 with his wife Meriel and five-month-old son Marcus.

All these years later, Marcus tells us how much both Cardiff and Villa meant to his dad, who tragically died of a heart attack while playing in a charity match 30 years ago.

Elsewhere in our popular Villa Vault section, we take a look at six of Villa's best central defenders, as well as looking back at the first and last Villa v Cardiff games.

It's not just about the past, though.

There's also an in-depth interview with Ciaran Clark, in which the central defender talks about his surreal start to the season, while reserve keeper Jed Steer answers the questions in our light-hearted Last Word feature.

Libor Kozak, meanwhile, is the man in the spotlight in What's in a Name, while there's a centrefold picture of Danish striker Nicklas Helenius for younger fans to stick on their bedroom walls.

Throw in columns by Paul Lambert, Ron Vlaar and Stan Collymore and we think you will agree the Villa News & Record is great value for money at just £3.

The cover for this issue features Ciaran Clark and Cardiff defender Steven Caulker - plus a poppy image to reflect our annual tribute to the Armed Forces ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

If you don't want to wait or can't make it to the game, you can also snap up your matchday programme right now via our eBay account.

And then there's our new iPad version, which will be available to purchase closer to the match.

We also offer a subscription service at £66 for the printer version for the season, including postage.

European postage costs an additional £39 and worldwide postage an extra £64.
