Surge in shop orders for Christmas as Villa go global

Villa's online store has well and truly gone global in the run-up to Christmas.

Merchandising chief John Greenfield revealed orders have come in from places as far flung as Iran, Russia, USA, Australia, China and Japan.

And the festive rush is definitely on with big numbers being processed for kits, training wear aswell as stocking fillers such as books, DVDs, cuddly toys and gnomes.

In fact, Scandinavian countries like Finland and Sweden are going big on the festive feeling, with Christmas trimmings - like baubles, stars, slippers and the 'Santa Stops Here' sign - flying out of the B6 doors.

And the Villa mini Father Christmas toy - priced at £8 - is hitting the sales heights too, according to Greenfield.

Villa's online store - as well as the two main in-house shops - has several special offers available too for fans looking to pick up a Christmas bargain.

Our infant kits - three-six, six-nine and nine-twelve - are available for £25 - that's shirt, shorts and socks.

There's also free shirt printing on all three goalkeeping tops, worn by Brad Guzan on a regular basis.

Greenfield also told us that our free delivery offer on orders over £100 has been very well received aswell sales of the third kit.

In the run-up to the West Ham game, there was a significant surge on the lime green top - available in shops and online - and he expects more sales in the coming weeks ahead of Christmas due to the cult appreciation of the bright product.
