El Ahmadi on hand as youngsters 'Get Started' with Prince's Trust

Karim El Ahmadi gave a talk to young people who are hoping to forge a career in coaching through the Prince's Trust Get Started programme.

Villa have been working with the Prince's Trust on Get Started, a programme funded by the Premier League and PFA, which aims to inspire 16 to 25-year-olds who are unable, unwilling or lack the confidence to take part in longer personal development programmes.

By using a theme such as sport, the Get Started helps boost their confidence, skills and employability.

Villa have teamed up with the Prince's Trust to help a group of young people achieve a Level One coaching qualification.

The group were delighted to receive a visit from Moroccan international midfielder, who took part in a question and answer session before observing one of their coaching sessions in the Villa Park Indoor Academy.

El Ahmadi said: "It's incredible to see the club working on projects like this.

"Hearing the stories about what some of these young people have been through and the fact that they have come to the Prince's Trust and Aston Villa to change their lives is great to hear."

Ex-Wolves and Coventry midfielder Barry Powell, who is now an A-license coach, has been delivering the coaching programme.

He said: "It is great for them to come here to a great facility like this and it gives them a massive boost to have a Premier League footballer like Karim visiting.

"We are really encouraged by how they are doing and the level of teamwork they are showing."
