Villa U18s 2-1 Arsenal U18s: Sellars and Strain earn victory

Villa continued their excellent start to the Barclays U18 Premier League campaign with a 2-1 win over Arsenal.

Fresh from last weekend's deserved victory over Manchester United, Tony McAndrew's team took another big scalp by winning against the Gunners.

Thomas Strain - match-winner against United last week with two goals - was on target again at Bodymoor Heath after just 10 minutes.

Arsenal pulled themselves back into the game three minutes before half-time when Renny Smith equalised.

But Jerell Sellars netted the winner for the claret and blues on 70 minutes.

Villa - who have now won five of their opening six league games - are away to Fulham in their next match on Saturday October 19.

VILLA: Grant, Zazrivec, Wildin, Lyons-Foster, Toner, R Strain, O'Brien, Abdo, Taylor, Sellars, T Strain. Subs: Cowans, Bannister, Calder, H Lewis [Taylor, 80], O'Hare [for R Strain, 85].
