Villa v Rotherham team news: Steer debuts as Villa change three

Villa have made three changes for tonight's Capital One Cup second round tie against Rotherham United.

Goalkeeper Jed Steer, who joined the club from Norwich City in the summer, comes in for Brad Guzan to make his debut.

Joe Bennett takes the place of injured Antonio Luna at left-back, while Karim El Ahmadi replaces Matt Lowton.

It means Leandro Bacuna will shift to right-back with El Ahmadi slotting in to central midfield alongside Fabian Delph and Ashley Westwood.

Rotherham have made one change from Saturday's 2-2 draw against Shrewsbury.

Robert Milsom has replaced Matt Tubbs, who drops to the bench.

The Millers are without last season's top scorer Daniel Nardiello following his sending off at the weekend.

VILLA: Steer, Vlaar, Okore, Bennett, Bacuna, El Ahmadi, Westwood, Agbonlahor, Delph, Benteke, Weimann. Subs: Guzan, Clark, Helenius, Herd, Sylla, Tonev, Lowton.

ROTHERHAM: Shearer, Skarz, Arnason, Frecklington, Revell, O'Connor, Bradley, Milsom, Pringle, Morgan, Agard.  Subs: Collin, Brindley, Hylton, Tubbs, Tidser, Rowe.
