'Tickets for Schools' boost for Villa v Liverpool game

Villa's first home game of the season against Liverpool has proved so popular with claret and blue-loving schoolchildren that more seats have been made available to them via our popular ticket scheme.

The 'Tickets for Schools' initiative enables kids from across the city to experience live Barclays Premier League football and, in addition, will ensure their teachers are able raise money for equipment and other activities.

1,000 tickets are available to primary schools from the region for every top-flight home fixture.

Funds generated through the scheme can put towards sports equipment, computers and books.

This ensures children get to experience the thrill of top-flight football and schools grow their facilities - everyone's a winner!

Now, all 1,000 tickets for the Reds game on August 24 have already been snapped up.

So to ensure kids don't get upset at missing the chance to see Christian Benteke, Leandro Bacuna, Antonio Luna and Nicklas Helenius, Villa have made 250 more available.

The scheme is open to all primary schools with a Birmingham postcode.

Alternatively, contact our Tickets for Schools co-ordinator who can be reached on 0800 612 0970 or at

Please note that the application process must be completed by an employee of the school.

A Family Fun Day is also taking place before the Liverpool clash with a host of exciting free activities in the Indoor Academy.

The Fun Day will run from 3pm right up until kick-off. Activities will be confirmed shortly.
