Okore looking forward to sampling Villa Park's "feast of emotion"
Newboy Jores Okore is eager to sample the awesome atmosphere of the Barclays Premier League at Villa Park, calling it a "feast of emotion."
Okore has already been well-informed of the spine-tingling vibe in B6 on matchdays and admits he can't wait to get started there.
Villa begin their home campaign against Liverpool on August 24 and Okore is eager to bond with claret and blue fans as Paul Lambert's side return to the stadium for top-flight action.
He said: "It's going to be exciting to play at Villa Park. I can't wait. I am looking forward to it.
"The culture of English football is great.
"Our home stadium has a great atmosphere in every game. I can't wait to get together with the fans.
"Our supporters will be right beside us, showing the emotions that can help the team to perform even better.
"Villa Park will certainly be a great place to play and we're looking to pick up points there. There will be a feast of emotion every time we play at home.
"I definitely can't wait to get going and get the Villa fans excited to watch me and right behind the team."
Okore is also desperate to meet his new team-mates when the claret and blues return to training on Monday.
And he believes he will improve personally under the leadership of boss Lambert.
He added: "I am really looking forward to meeting them, getting together with them and getting some training going. I can't wait to be part of this squad.
"We want to show our potential. We are a young team and have a long way to go. But we can get to a good level of performance and really show everyone who we are.
"We have a great coach who can develop us and make us really good players. I think he can bring some great things out in me.
"We want to be a good team. We want to get some exciting things going. We have good players all around. I want to be a big part of the team personally too.
"I want to help the team to a new era. That's what I want to do. I want to perform really well."
