Express and Star: Aston Villa were today closing in on the £2million signing of beanpole striker Nicklas Helenius from Aalborg. The club have revealed they are close to a deal for the 22-year-old Dane and expect to complete the transfer by the end of next week.
Express and Star: Villa today unveiled their new home and away shirts for the 2013-14 season after taking inspiration from the European Cup heroes. The home strip closely resembles the shirt worn in the European Cup-winning season of 1981-82 when Villa beat Bayern Munich 1-0.
