Sample festival band music ahead of kit launch weekend event
Make your way to B6 to listen to the stunning musical delights of the likes of JAWS, Gary Nock, The Artois and Hoopla Blue on June 15 and 16.
Following on from the success of the 2012-13 event, Villa have elected to merge music and football once again.
Get in the mood now by sampling a selection of their music in the video player below.
There will be total of eighteen local and original acts (no cover bands) over the two days.
We would offer a huge thank-you to Counteract Magazine for securing the B6 line-up.
JAWS are the leading lights of the burgeoning new wave of bands coming out of Birmingham.
Favourably compared to the likes of Foals and Battles, their sound is an uplifting mix of glistening guitars, blessed-out vocals and melodic brilliance, making them the perfect summer band.
Gary Nock began is a classic songwriter with stunning music under his fingertips.
He is best known for 'Make It Better', the delightfully-catchy advert song which now plays out at the end of each Villa Park home game.
But his entire album 'The Life We Learned to Live' is awesome acoustic melody at its finest.
The Artois are a five piece from Birmingham, taking inspiration from their peers, such as Peace.
Their delicious indie-pop vibes both enchant and entertain.
With an array of covers and demos online, and with the hope of an EP release by summer, they're proving themselves to be a band well worth getting excited about.
Hoopla Blue are one of the city's brightest bands.
Their only online track to date - 'Holy Ghost' - combines elements of Interpol and Modest Mouse to create a dreamy, spine-tingling four minutes of storytelling, heartfelt enchantment.
You can listen to the sounds cascading around Villa Park - and also take a look at the new home and away kit which will be on display.
The new home kit will be available to purchase over the weekend from both Villa Park and New Street.
The Villa Park Store will open at 9am, with music starting at 11am until 5pm on both glorious days.
Added to that, there's a feast of activities available to make it a real family day out.
There will be bungee trampolines, cups and saucers, spaceships ride, human demolition wrecking ball, giant assault course, air football, rodeo bull, photo booth, fairground stall games, frisbee disc golf, crazy golf and football challenges.
Supporters can either pay £1 for a single go on each activity or £5 for an unlimited wristband.
A wristband will be given free-of-charge to anyone purchasing the new home shirt.
There will be a food court at the event, featuring a good selection of grub throughout both days while alcohol will be served in the music arena too.
Our mini stadium tours will also be running throughout the weekend, also.
Car parking will be in the Aston Events Centre car park and the Coach Park, which is opposite the entrance to the North Stand.
