Villa win big with top two gongs at Football Hospitality Awards
For the second year running, the club scooped the two top gongs at the Football Hospitality Awards, held at Reading's Madejski Stadium.
Villa beat off all clubs in England and Scotland as well as national venues such as Wembley, Hampden Park and Croke Park to the Overall Matchday Hospitality Experience and Premier League Matchday prizes.
We also took home gold in the media choice award, where journalists rate the quality of food and service on a matchday across the country.
Villa also won bronze in the green hospitality category for a sustainable approach.
Meanwhile, Carly Watton from our catering team also won a Star of the Future merit award.
Alison Plant, head of hospitality and events, said: "What a night!
"We started the evening by winning the media choice award and finished it by emerging successful once again with the overall hospitality prize.
"We really couldn't be happier. To win the main gong once is fantastic. To win it twice - and two years in a row at that - is terrific.
"We work really hard behind-the-scenes to make sure our standards are always immensely high. We also attempt to break new ground and always strive to be pioneers in our industry.
"These awards give us a boost and tell us we are doing the right things but also encourages us to keep on going in our ongoing efforts to improve.
"A special mention to Carly too, who picked up a merit award. We're very proud of her and confident she will have a big future in the industry."
