Full Villa Park kit launch festival line-up announced
Jaws, who headline on Saturday, are one of Birmingham's best up-and-coming bands.
Riding the recent wave of acts to hail from the UK's second city, Jaws have cemented their place in the 'b-town' music scene with their unique brand of melodic bliss, following the likes of Peace and Swim Deep who have taken the country by storm.
Jaws headline the music stage at 4.15pm on Saturday June 15.
Headlining Sunday, Father's Day, is Brum septet Tempting Rosie.
Tempting Rosie are like no other local band.
Their up-tempo hybrid of ska, reggae and pop is rivalled by none, making Tempting Rosie the ultimate party band and perfect festival closer.
Don't miss them headlining the music stage at 4.20pm on Sunday June 16.
Look out for a special performance by Gary Nock at 3.20pm on Sunday, the man behind Villa song 'Oh To Be A Villan'.
Counteract Magazine editor Richard Franks said: "After the success of last year's event, it's a real honour to be able to work with Villa again for the 2013-14 kit launch.
"On a personal level, I'm a massive Villa fan, so if you'd have told me a few years ago that I'd be curating a festival at Villa Park I'd have told you where to go!
"But for the bands this is just fantastic.
"Some of them are only just starting out.
"For them to be able to say they've played at Villa Park and have their band printed in the programme and up on the big screens, that's something money can't buy.
"It also gives fans something a little different to look forward to - a huge free event at Villa Park with live music, fairground rides, inflatables and so much more. I can't wait."
The new home kit will be available to purchase over the weekend from both Villa Park and New Street.
The Villa Park Store will open at 9am, with music starting at 11am until 5pm on both glorious days.
We also have plenty of other special things you can do with your Dad over this Father's Day Weekend.
