Agbonlahor on basement battle: We're not safe yet
Gabby Agbonlahor says Villa won't take their eye off the ball, insisting: "We're not safe yet."
Agbonlahor says the team are fully focused on the Chelsea and Wigan games as they look to finish the season with a flourish and blast out of the basement battle.
Fresh from scoring the two goals which secured the victory over Norwich, Agbonlahor spoke of the steely determination in camp ahead of the final two matches.
Agbonlahor accepts it's very tight in the lower half of the table but says that's a tribute to the competitiveness of the Barclays Premier League.
He said: "It's credit to the league and the teams that are in the league. Teams are beating everyone.
"There's no-one safe really in that bottom half. It's maybe going to go all the way.
"We will go out to go and try to win the next two games."
Agbonlahor was thrilled to play his part in the team with the brilliant brace at Carrow Road.
He was pleased with both strikes but also with lessening the burden on leading man Christian Benteke.
He added: "They were decent goals. People have been saying we should take more shots as a team.
"We tried to do that more, if you look at the shots from outside the box. Mine went in.
"With the first one I just tried to make good contact and thankfully it flew into the corner.
"It was the same with the second goal, making sure we got decent contact and work the keeper.
"There fact is there are times when you can't rely on one person.
"You can't always rely on Christian to score the goals. You have to share it around the team."
