Central stars Ashley Westwood and Fabian Delph came out on top in the stats after the win at Norwich.

Villa's midfield maestros proved to be just that as they produced fine figures in areas such as passing and creating chances during the ninety minutes at a nervy and tense Carrow Road.

Defensively, Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker also came to the fore in areas such as blocks, aerial duels and tackles.

Westwood was No.2 for passes with fifty successful from sixty-two made. Delph was No.3 with thirty-eight successful from forty-one made - a ratio of 93%. Incidentally, No.1 was Jonathan Howson with fifty-four successful from sixty-one made.

Delph was No.1 for interceptions with six. Vlaar was No.2 with four. Yacouba Sylla was No.3 with three.

Christian Benteke was No.2 for take-ons with two successful from three attempted. Vlaar was No.3 with one successful from one attempted.

Vlaar and Baker were joint No.1 for blocks with one.

Baker was No.1 for clearances with eleven successful from eighteen made. Vlaar was No.2 with seven successful from ten made. Joe Bennett was No.4 with six successful from nine made.

Baker was No.2 for aerial duels with nine won from eighteen attempted. Benteke was No.4 with six won from eighteen attempted.
