Man Utd v Villa: Guzan - I'll make another 200 saves if required
Brad Guzan doesn't mind being the Barclays Premier League's busiest shot-stopper if it means Villa beat the drop.
Guzan became the first top-flight goalkeeper to rack up more than 200 saves this term.
But the USA international insists he is prepared to make another 200 during the end-of-season survival run-in if it helps his team preserve their status.
"For me it is about just contributing to the cause," said Guzan.
"If I have to make 200 more in the next five games then so be it.
"As long as we stay in the Premier League that is the most important thing.
"Once we can do that it will be a massive boost and we will be able to build and look forward to next year.
"But right now the only thing on our minds is picking up results and that starts with Monday."
Guzan goes into the clash at Manchester United having had a stellar season so far - although he reckons there is still room for improvement.
The 28-year-old has been one of Villa's star performers since dislodging Shay Given to become first choice goalkeeper.
But there will be no personal satisfaction unless Villa achieve their safety goal.
"For me it has been a good season," Guzan said.
"Do I still think there is room for improvement and areas to get better? For me 100%.
"I think for me it as important to be playing first team football.
"It has been a long wait but to have the chance to play first team football at a massive club like Aston Villa and to play week in, week out - that part has been fantastic.
"The next thing on the list is to make sure we pick up enough point in the next five games.
"That's the main priority. It is not about the fact that I've played first team football, it is not about Christian scoring 20 goals, it is not about whatever you want to say.
"The main thing for us is to make sure we pick up enough points in these last remaining games and that we stay in the Premier League, because that is the most important thing."
