Benteke has been a revelation in claret and blue, having scored nineteen goals this season since his summer move from Genk.

His contribution in Paul Lambert's side has been reflected by his inclusion in the voting process.

Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard are also nominated for the award with Romelu Lukaku, Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere completing the list.

The PFA Player of the Year nominees are Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, Luis Suarez, Juan Mata, Robin van Persie and Michael Carrick.

The winners will be announced on April 28.

Players cannot vote for players in their own team.
