Blackburn U18 2-2 Villa U18: Sellars and Abdo earn Villa a point

Villa held on to top spot in qualification tier two of the Barclays U18 Premier League despite letting a two-goal lead slip against Blackburn.

Tony McAndrew's team came flying out of the blocks in the clash at Brockhall and scored twice in the first 25 minutes.

Jerell Sellars fired the claret and blues in front before Swedish midfielder Khalid Abdo doubled the advantage.

Just before the break, Rovers pulled a goal when Tom Brown scored from the penalty spot.

Then 10 minutes after the restart the home side grabbed a deserved equaliser through Jordan Preston.

The result leaves Villa two points clear at the top of the table, although second-placed Norwich have two games in hand.
