Cusack, Stringer, McCue and Mannion called up by England
Four stars of Villa Ladies have been called up by England.
Maddy Cusack [pictured], Abbeyleigh Stringer, Sherry McCue and Aoife Mannion have been selected to represent the Three Lions at the U19 European Championship second qualifying round in Lillestrom, Norway.
The quartet will assemble at England HQ in St George's Park in Burton on Monday April 1 before flying out to Norway for the four-team tournament.
England are in Group Four and take on Serbia on Thursday April 1 in the UKI Arena, Hungary on Saturday April 6 at Gjemselund and Norway on Tuesday April 9 at the UKI Arena.
U17s star Caitlin Leach is on stand-by for the squad.
Boss Joe Hunt said: "As always with international call-ups, we're really proud of the girls here at Villa.
"Maddy has been superb all season, Abbeyleigh is class, Sherry is tenacious and Aoife will be some player.
"They all thoroughly deserve their call-up and we wish them well in qualifying.
"I have to give a special mention to Caitlin from our U17 side who has been selected as a stand-by. That is some achievement. Well done to her."
The top two teams will advance to the next round of qualifying.
The U19 European Championships began in 1998 and England have won it once, in 2009.
