Business leaders encouraged to support Climate Week
![]()
Climate Week is aimed at inspiring people to create a sustainable future. A week of activities is being held around the country with schools, business, councils and charities showcasing their own practical solutions. Villa's participation includes a staff transport day this Friday and a call to action for industry experts asking them to follow suit and cut down on emissions by travelling economically. That can mean jumping into a colleague's motor or using the train. That's not the only sustainable element of life in B6. Villa Park's Restaurant VMF has won a host of gongs for its sustainability, in particular the Green Apple Award, handed out at the House of Commons. And our glorious ground has also officially become a carbon-neutral stadium. Working in partnership with Clearway Sustainability Resources, the club has identified its carbon emissions and offset them completely with carbon credits purchased from renewable energy projects around the world. As a result, we have now achieved full carbon neutrality, an achievement recognised by the award of Clearway's Carbon Neutral Certification. We received the official stamp of approval at the West Ham game. Keywords
