Paul Lambert and Andreas Weimann were on hand to give their verdicts after Villa's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal.

The boys in claret and blue battled back to equalise after Santi Cazorla's early strike, but were undone late on by the Spaniard's second of the game.

Manager Lambert and goalscorer Weimann faced the AVTV cameras following the loss at the Emirates.

Lambert said his team deserved at least a draw after seeing them suffer the hammer blow of a late goal against Arsene Wenger's team.

As well as assessing the performance of his players in the Arsenal clash, he also delivered an injury update on Ron Vlaar, Darren Bent and Shay Given who were all forced to sit out.

Weimann gave an honest assessment of his display.

Although Weimann was pleased to get on the scoresheet, the Austrian forward admitted he was at fault for the home side's winning strike.
