Villa pleased to support Football v Homophobia campaign

Villa are once again pleased to support the Football v Homophobia campaign under the umbrella of Villa in Harmony.

The club fully support and endorse the campaign to tackle discrimination of any sort and operate a zero tolerance approach to all forms of discrimination.

During this month, Villa are engaging with the Justin Campaign to promote their message of 'Football v Homophobia' and 'Football for Everyone.'

Justin Fashanu, brother of former Villa star John, suffered bullying and hostility after his sexual orientation became public and so have a number of other top professionals.

Football has an obligation to make it accessible, safe and welcoming for everyone regardless of gender, sexuality, religion or faith.

We were delighted to welcome members of Birmingham Blaze, our local lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender football team to the match with West Ham.

Members of the team spoke to AVTV about the issue of discrimination and you can watch the feature now on our online television channel.

Please help Villa stand up against prejudice and discrimination.

If you see it, hear it or are subjected to it, report it.

You can do this by informing a nearby steward, the police, a club official, a referee, your football association or Kick it Out.
