Villa v Bradford: Injury latest on Delph, Given, Weimann and Baker
![]() Fabian Delph and Shay Given are hoping to be available for the Capital One Cup semi-final clash against Bradford - but Nathan Baker looks set to miss out. Delph and Baker were forced off during Saturday's 2-2 draw at West Brom with ankle and hamstring injuries respectively. The second leg against Bradford is likely to come too soon for Baker but Delph is hopeful of recovering in time. Given has been Villa's regular cup keeper this term but must shake off a hamstring problem if he is to feature against the Bantams. Andreas Weimann will be available after missing the West Brom game through illness. "I need to see how Shay is feeling this morning and how he is doing," said boss Paul Lambert. "Shay has been playing in every round but he has been a bit unfortunate with his hamstring at the minute. "Nathan won't be available, I don't think. Fabian - we will have to see how he is doing. "He was a loss the other day too. He was doing really well for us and doing the side that not many people like to do in a game. "So that was a blow losing him. I need to see how he is feeling but hopefully he will be ok." Lambert said Richard Dunne is progressing well after returning from a long-term groin injury. Dunne resumed training last week following six months on the sidelines. "He did a bit yesterday and a bit on Friday," the manager added. "We will see how he comes through this next couple of days. "Sometimes you might have to throw him in without any match fitness. "He has not played for the best part of a year. "When you look at that, it's a hell of a long time out." Snap up your tickets for the Bradford clash.
