Bodymoor Heath became a winter wonderland as Villa's players geared up for the West Brom game today.

The snow came down heavily on the pitches at the club's training HQ - but it didn't stop Paul Lambert's squad putting the finishing touches to their derby day preparations.

Club photographer Neville Williams was on hand to capture some spectacular images of the players training in the snow.

Boss Lambert confirmed in his pre-match press conference that skipper Ron Vlaar would be available for the trip to the Hawthorns.

The Dutchman joined the rest of the squad in training, while Darren Bent and Richard Dunne were also cleared to take part.

The only players missing were long-term casualties Marc Albrighton, Chris Herd and Gary Gardner.

As well capturing the players in action, photographer Williams also snapped some of the stunning scenery around Bodymoor Heath as the snowed covered the training complex.
