Villa's claret and blue camp was boosted this morning by the presence of Ron Vlaar, Brett Holman and Ashley Westwood in training.

Vlaar has been a big miss for several weeks with a calf injury while Holman was absent for the Ipswich and Bradford games with a virus.

Westwood has been out since Swansea with an ankle problem.

But all three were back on the fields of Bodymoor Heath today as the squad geared up for the Southampton game at Villa Park this weekend.

Lambert is eager for the team to bounce back from the Bradford defeat with a good result against the Saints.

He worked with the players at the training ground as they looked to get in tip-top form ahead of the exciting weekend encounter.
