Villa will begin phase two of the Barclays U21 Premier League competition with a home clash against Middlesbrough.

The boys in claret and blue will compete in Group 2 of the revised league format after a midtable finish in the first phase.

It means they will come up against Everton, Blackburn, Sunderland, Chelsea, Fulham and next Monday's opponents Boro.

The Boro clash is the first of two Villa home games that will take place at Hinckley United, while there will be two at Villa Park and one at Bodymoor Heath.

The seven teams in Group 2 will be vying for top spot, which would secure a place in the knockout stages of the overall competition later in the season.
