Villa v Tottenham team news: Lambert makes three changes

Villa have made three changes to the starting line-up for this evening's Barclays Premier League clash against Tottenham.

Paul Lambert has opted to bring in Joe Bennett, Karim El Ahmadi and Fabian Delph for the showdown with Andre Villas-Boas' team.

Eric Lichaj, Barry Bannan and Andreas Weimann - who all started in the defeat at Chelsea three days ago - miss out this time around.

There is also a place on the bench for U21 star Samir Carruthers.

Tottenham have made one change from their goalless draw against Stoke City.

Kyle Naughton comes into the back four in place of Steven Caulker.

Former Villa loanee Kyle Walker is in their side, while veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel is named amongst the substitutes.

VILLA: Guzan, Lowton, Baker, Clark, Bennett, Holman, Westwood, Herd, El Ahmadi, Delph, Benteke. Subs: Given, Bowery, Lichaj, Ireland, Carruthers, Bannan, Albrighton.
