Villa stars spread festive cheer with visits to Acorns hospices
The club is proud of its partnership with Acorns, which has gone from strength to strength since it began in 2006.
The Christmas visits have become a traditional part of claret and blue calendar.
Players visited two of the hospices to hand out gifts and chat to the children - while there was even time for AVTV's Jack Woodward to sing a festive tune!
Gabby Agbonlahor - Villa's official player ambassador for Acorns - attended the hospice at Selly Oak along with team-mates Fabian Delph, Ciaran Clark, Stephen Ireland and Matt Lowton.
Meanwhile, the Walsall hospice got a visit from Andreas Weimann, Nathan Baker and Darren Bent.
"It is important you come to places like this and it makes you realise how lucky you are," said Lowton.
"It is about making the kids feel better on the day, making them feel better about themselves and giving them a nice present to cheer them up.
"You've got to have massive admiration for the staff. Caring is a 24/7 job.
"The amount of attention they give to the children is great and the place they have put together here is fantastic."
This Christmas 'Now is the Time' to support your local children's hospice and make a difference to life limited and life threatened children and their families.
