Christian Benteke was thrilled to meet and greet supporters as he popped into the Villa Store for a signing session.

Benteke was on hand to say hello to hundreds of fans - babies, kids, dad, mums and grandparents - in the Villa Village shop, with supporters picking up festive goodies and having them signed by the man-of-the-moment.

Benteke was given a rousing reception when he was introduced to the waiting crowd by John Greenfield, head of merchandising at the club.

And the powerful forward smiled and said hello to all-comers, signing Christmas gifts and having his photo taken with those who waited patiently to catch a glimpse of the two-goal hero from Anfield.

He was joined by midfield ace Ashley Westwood and defender Joe Bennett.

John Greenfield said: "Fans were treated to 25% off and Christian Benteke greeting them in store. I'm not sure we could have given supporters a better Christmas present.

"I think even Santa Claus himself would have struggled to match Christian's reception when he walked in!

"It was a great day and all three lads were brilliant. Special mention to Ashley and Joe, too, who were brilliant with everyone who stopped by.

"Their attitude at events like this shows the measure of character we have in our emerging squad and also what a fantastic family club we have here.

"From my perspective, the tills were jingle-jangling - with fans getting into the festive spirit thanks to our 25% sale. I'm not sure today could have gone any better!"
