And there is no shortage of contenders after Villa booked their place in the Capital One Cup semi-finals in emphatic fashion.

Paul Lambert's team produced a stunning second-half display to storm into the last four.

Brett Holman set the standard in the first-half and his tremendous performance was rewarded with a long-range goal which drew Villa level following Steve Morison's opener.

Then after the break his fellow attacking players got in on the act.

Super sub Andreas Weimann pounced like a true predator to score the second and third goals.

If that wasn't enough, Christian Benteke rounded off another phenomenal Villa move with a bullet effort in the final minute.

But it wasn't all about the attackers - Shay Given made a stunning save early in the second-half to deny Morison and keep Villa on track.

Eric Lichaj and Charles N'Zogbia also made important contributions in the build-up to the goals.
