Paul Lambert, Ciaran Clark and Matt Lowton faced the AVTV cameras following Villa's goalless draw against Stoke City.

The boys in claret and blue played well in spells against one of the Barclays Premier League's form teams but were unable to break the deadlock.

Manager Lambert and defensive duo Clark and Lowton gave their verdicts after the final whistle.

Lambert was pleased with his team's passing display against Tony Pulis' pugnacious Potters.

He also hailed the efforts of his back line in coping with the physical threat of Jonathan Walters and Kenwyne Jones.

Clark spoke of his pride after finishing the match as captain.

The centre-back received the armband from Gabby Agbonlahor, who was replaced by Darren Bent during the second-half.

He also delivered a considered assessment of Villa's performance.

Lowton was full of praise for Villa's defence following a third clean sheet in four games.

You can also check out the verdict of European Cup winner and AVTV summariser Andy Blair.
