Ashley Westwood has urged fans to snap up their tickets and then get Villa Park "booming" against Stoke on Saturday.

Westwood has hailed the significant role of supporters in B6 since arriving from Crewe in the transfer window.

The in-form midfielder started against Man Utd, Arsenal and Reading and he was amazed at the "rocking and rousing" levels of noise generated from all four corners of the stadium.

He believes that exuberant impetus from fans is especially vital for Villa due to the youthful nature of Paul Lambert's team.

He said: "Over the last few home games I have played in, Villa Park has been rocking. It's been booming.

"We need that again on Saturday against Stoke.

"We need the fans. Every team does. But I think that's especially true for us young players. They can lift us.

"We just need the fans to stick with us when things aren't going right in certain games. If they stay with us and get right behind us, I think we will come through most situations we're faced with.

"Villa Park has been absolutely rocking over the past few weeks. They have been magical atmospheres to play in. Let's hope for the same against Stoke.

"When that Holte End - and all the other three sides of the ground - get behind you, it gives you a real lift."

Lambert's Lions will look to roar against the pugnacious Potters and collect three points in front of a lively Villa Park crowd.

It should be quite some clash of the titans out on the pitch with Christian Benteke and Gabby Agbonlahor facing off against Ryan Shawcross and Robert Huth. Clash of the Titans doesn't do it justice!

Villa will be looking to build on their three-match unbeaten run. They drew with Arsenal and QPR with a win over Reading in-between.
