Now after those three stern examinations, it is time for them to put their knowledge into practice with a little light Reading tomorrow. Having climbed out of the bottom three by passing against the Gunners, Lambert's Premier League pupils could do with gaining full marks from their next assignment.

Daily Star: Villa, too, will be pleased with their clean sheet, only their third in the league this season, as the Gunners managed just one shot on target.
