Villa produced a battling performance to earn a deserved point against the Gunners.

Midfield duo Barry Bannan and Ashley Westwood delivered accomplished displays, as did defenders Ciaran Clark, Matt Lowton and Enda Stevens.

Brett Holman also added extra energy to Villa's performance after coming on as a substitute in the second-half.

Andreas Weimann showed his terrific work-rate once again and had an effort disallowed in the first period for offside.
