Matt Lowton and Stephen Ireland were joint No.1 in the 'tackles' category.

They both won five out of five.

Enda Stevens was No.4, coming out successfully in two out of four.

Matt Lowton and Ron Vlaar were joint No.1 for 'clearances'. They both made four.

Ciaran Clark and Barry Bannan were No.4 and No.5 for 'clearances'. Clark made three while Bannan made two.

Vincent Kompany was No.3 in that category.

Gabby Agbonlahor, Christian Benteke and Matt Lowton were No.2, No.3 and No.4 'most fouled' players, while Yaya Toure was No.1.

Christian Benteke and Ron Vlaar were No.1 and No.2 when it came to 'aerial duels'.

Benteke won four of eight while Vlaar won four of five.

Brett Holman was No.4 in the 'take-on' category - the art of gliding past an opposition player - coming out successfully in one of two.

Christian Benteke was undoubtedly the highest Villa player when it came to attacking stats.

He was No.5 in shots with four in total, one on target.

He was also joint No.3 in chances created with two.

Villa's No.1 pass combination in the match was Stephen Ireland to Christian Benteke with eight.

This was followed by Enda Stevens to Ashley Westwood with seven and Matt Lowton to Ashley Westwood with seven.

City's No.1 pass combination was Yaya Toure to Samir Nasri with twenty-one.
