Man City v Villa: Daley backs Agbonlahor to test the champions
Speed demon Gabby Agbonlahor has been backed to cause Man City all kinds of problems on Saturday with his stunning pace.
Tony Daley is a big fan of star striker Agbonlahor and thinks he can shine once again at the Etihad Stadium.
Villa's former wing wonder thinks alacrity is one of the main assets for a forward looking to get the better of dynamic defenders in the Barclays Premier League.
And he thinks Agbonlahor has this in abundance, as he looks to repeat his super-show against the champions, following the 4-2 win in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
Daley, taking at the 'Show Racism the Red Card' event, said: "I really like Gabby. He's a player who can make things happen. He's big and strong. But his No.1 asset is his pace. Defenders hate pace. Gabby has that in abundance.
"He's playing really well at the moment too. He was obviously injured at the start of the season but he's come roaring back these past few weeks.
"Obviously the highlight was his two goals against Manchester City in the cup. If he can reproduce that kind of form on Saturday, he can cause some real problems. They know he's a handful.
"It won't be easy because Manchester City are a really fine side but I think Gabby can cause them problems.
"The fans love him too. He's a local boy who's come through the ranks at Villa and the supporters love that kind of thing. It gives them a strong bond with the player. He's one of them.
"Then there's Christian who has come in and looked superb since arriving. He's big and strong. But he's very neat and tidy on the floor too. He'll be one to watch.
"Then Andi has scored two goals against Man Utd too. He looks a real worker and a striker who can finish.
"It's a really good front three. They'd be a handful for any defence."
