Run as Santa all in a good Claus for charity partner Acorns
Acorns are appealing for festive claret and blue fanatics to pull on a Santa suit and get together with fellow supporters, friends, colleagues and family to join in the run, raising money for life-limited children.
The event is bringing in the festive spirit on Saturday December 8 and Sunday December 9, when sleigh loads of jolly joggers descend on Brindleyplace and Walsall Arboretum.
Hundreds will pull on a Santa suit to take part in either a 2km Santa Stroll or 5km Santa Run to show their support for local children.
Philippa Gay, major events officer at Acorns, said: "This special event brings laughter, fun and festive cheer to the streets of Birmingham, while raising vital funds to support local life-limited children.
"It's not every day one gets the chance to be part of a massive Santa parade!
"It's going to have a crackin' Christmas atmosphere and we're calling on everyone to show their support."
Entry is £10 for adults and £5 for U16s and includes a Santa suit.
Due to size restrictions U6s cannot be given a Santa suit - but they are welcome to join in and wear their own fancy dress!
The two new routes for 2012 are wheelchair and buggy friendly.
