Midfielder Johnson makes loan switch to Yeovil Town
Johnson is set for a first taste of League football and could go straight into the squad for tonight's clash against Shrewsbury Town.
The 20-year-old midfielder has impressed in Villa's academy ranks since joining from Crystal Palace as a schoolboy.
As well as captaining the youth team to a Barclays Premier Academy League title success in 2010-11, he starred in the NextGen Series and reserve league last term.
Johnson was also an inspirational figure in Villa's run to the final of the Hong Kong International Soccer Sevens final in May, where he won the Player of the Tournament award.
He has been on the fringes of the first team squad over the past three seasons, with Gerard Houllier, Alex McLeish and Paul Lambert all naming him on the bench at various stages.
Now he is hoping to gain some first team experience with Gary Johnson's men, who currently sit 14th in League One.
Make sure you're here to back the boys against Norwich City.
