Paul Lambert put his players through their paces in front of over 3,000 supporters on a day when the smiles of the fans outshone the dreary weather. After initial stretching, the players took part in several football drills before a small-sided match and penalty shoot-out with competition winners. Make sure you get check out our picture galleries of the event: And afterwards the star names walked around the perimeter of the pitch to sign autograph after autograph for the supporters who turned up on the marvellous morning. Holman and was out with the claret and blue faithful for an age as he took the time to ensure all supporters went home happy. He is already a fan favourite due to his all-action displays but his status sky-rocketed after his enthusiasm at the event. He said: "I enjoyed that! It's great for the fans to come out and see our daily routine up-close. It's great to show that we're training hard and eager to get better. "It's always fun for us as players and it's always fun for the kids on their holidays. "It's important for them to get close to us because we realise that for them we are their idols. "We appreciate that fact and we take the responsibility seriously." Christian Benteke also wowed the supporters by throwing signed balls into the crowd. Not wanting to upset anyone, Benteke elected to turn around and chuck the items into the fans from behind!
