Bowery on "focused" Lambert believing in his new young lions
Bowery admits it was an "amazing" experience signing on the dotted line for a club in the Barclays Premier League.
Notions that it was an insurmountable rise up the football ladder were quickly dispelled by Lambert, according to Bowery.
The powerful striker says Lambert reiterated on arrival that the new boys have what it takes to mix it with the top-flight titans.
He said: "Joining a club like Villa has been amazing. It's a big Premier League club and the facilities are out of this world.
"As a young professional footballer trying to progress and improve, it's absolutely perfect.
"It's been great getting in amongst it and getting to know the lads here. They have been brilliant, very friendly and accommodating. I felt part of it almost immediately.
"The gaffer has made it easy for all us new guys too. He's made it clear we're here on merit and that we're good enough to compete at this level.
"He's very driven, focused and determined and he's made it clear what he expects from us.
"The new boys have been great too. It's made it easier to settle in because there's not just me, there's Joe, Matty and Ashley as well.
"All of the new lads are delighted to be here. The club has got great history and we all know about it, it's a responsibility that we have to live up to that history and try to play our game and get the club to where it should be.
"The supporters have been brilliant since I've been here. They're really loud at home and at the away games I've been at they've been great - they were all you could hear at times.
"They're definitely behind us and that really helps, it really gets the boys up for games.
"I definitely feel that the fans and the players are starting to buzz off each other and I hope it continues like that.
"The gaffer has brought in young, hungry players who will play for him and for the club. It will take time. But I think we're going to keep getting better and better as a team and a squad."
Make sure you're here to back the boys against Norwich City.
