Acorns up for top award after successful Villa text campaign
The local charity received the nomination after the huge success of their text to donate challenge in September, 2011.
Elinor Eustace, corporate partnerships manager for Acorns, said: "We're really pleased to be nominated for a Digital Fundraising Award, following our text campaign with Villa.
"The event was a fantastic opportunity for supporters to get involved and donate by simply texting during the game.
"The fans responded in an amazing way and the money raised was enough to fund a ten-bed hospice, providing care and support for local life-limited children, for a day.
"We'd love for our supporters to take a few minutes out of their day and vote for us."

The challenge, which led to the nomination, saw Villa legend, and fan favourite, Paul McGrath take to the pitch and ask the crowd to text a donation in support of the football clubs partnership, raising £7,500 in vital funds for the local charity.
