Villa earned a 1-1 draw in a pulsating West Midlands derby against West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies took the lead through Shane Long but Darren Bent came off the bench to bag an equaliser for the home team.

Paul Lambert, Brett Holman, Joe Bennett and Marc Albrighton were on hand to speak to AVTV after the game.

Lambert praised the efforts of the players and supporters during the derby encounter.

The Villa boss felt his side were unlucky to fall behind to Long's effort.

He said the claret and blues did tremendously well to go again after a gruelling 120-minute cup tie at Manchester City on Tuesday.

Holman faced the cameras after another all-action performance in midfield.

The Aussie midfielder gave his thoughts on the clash, including the two efforts he went close with before the break.

Bennett was delighted to make his first appearance at Villa Park - and his inaugural top-flight start.

The left-back relished the derby day atmosphere.

Albrighton praised Villa's performance after making his first start of the campaign since returning from a foot injury.

You can also check out the thoughts of Villa legend Tony Morley, who was AVTV's big-match summariser for the clash.
