Villa v West Brom: Lambert facing healthy dilemma with forwards
Paul Lambert is remaining tight-lipped over who will lead Villa's attack against West Brom - but admits he faces a healthy dilemma after his team's midweek cup heroics.
Lambert goes into Sunday's West Midlands derby against the Baggies with all of his forwards in impressive form.
Gabby Agbonlahor put himself in contention with a stunning two-goal display against Manchester City, while Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann also made important contributions in the Capital One Cup triumph.
And club record signing Darren Bent bagged his first league goal of the campaign in last week's defeat at Southampton.
While Lambert is delighted with the competition in his forward ranks, the Villa boss insists he has no favourites.
"I've got a group of lads that I trust, no matter who I play," he said.
"To go up there [Man City] and win is a big, big ask, but to go up there and score four is an incredible achievement from the lads.
"The lads are pretty buoyant at the minute.
"It doesn't matter whose worth what - it's who performs on a given day or is performing.
"The team is more important than any individual. That's always the case.
"It's the same as every weekend. I'll decide on Saturday what team I go with.
"Everybody is in the same boat, I don't have any favourites or anything like that."
Lambert admitted opting for a three-pronged attack is an option in future games.
Villa finished the Southampton clash with Bent, Benteke and Agbonlahor all on the pitch.
"We finished the game against Southampton with the three of them so I've got that option as well to play all three," the manager added.
"If I thought that option was right, I could do that."
