Villa v West Brom: Lap of honour for Warwickshire cricket title heroes
![]()
The Bears were crowned as kings of four-day domestic cricket earlier this month by wrapping up the Division One title. They came close to making it a magic double but were edged out by Hampshire in a thrilling CB40 final at Lords. Bell, Woakes, skipper Jim Troughton, director of cricket Ashley Giles and other members of the squad are set to show off the County Championship trophy during a lap of honour at half-time during Villa's clash with West Bromwich Albion. England batsman Bell and all-rounder Woakes have made no secret of their love of the claret and blues. The duo appeared in AVTV's pre-match show ahead of last season's clash against Tottenham Hotspur. They were also on hand at Villa Park to show their support for Stiliyan Petrov by signing a 'Support Stan' wall in the Indoor Academy. Now the cricket stars will have the chance to grace the Villa Park pitch along with their title-winning Warwickshire team-mates. Click here for West Brom tickets. Keywords
