It was all smiles in the claret and blue camp as Paul Lambert's squad lined up for the official photocall for 2012-13.

New signings Brett Holman, Karim El Ahmadi, Matt Lowton, Ron Vlaar, Ashley Westwood, Joe Bennett, Jordan Bowery and Christian Benteke were all present for the team photo at Bodymoor Heath.

Lambert took his seat at the front of the group along with first team coach Ian Culverhouse and head of football operations Gary Karsa.

The buoyancy in the camp was tangible following Saturday's 2-0 win over Swansea.

Villa have had two skippers - Darren Bent and Ron Vlaar - so far this term and both sat either side of Lambert's backroom staff.

It was great to see injured players Richard Dunne and Gary Gardner also present for the squad shot.

As expected club prankster Gabby Agbonlahor is right in the quick of the humour along with Brad Guzan, Shay Given and Andreas Weimann.
