Ashley Westwood was buzzing as he arrived at the training ground to finalise his move to Villa and sit down with AVTV for an exclusive interview.

No sooner had the ink dried on his new four-year deal than the midfield schemer was in the hotseat for an in-depth sit-down with the club's online television channel.

Westwood raced back from his medical at Little Aston to the state-of-the-art Bodymoor Heath to put pen-to-paper on his transfer from Crewe to Villa.

He then chatted with confidence and clarity about his hopes in claret and blue.

The 22-year-old was skipper at the Railwaymen and you could certainly tell as he discussed his delight avidly with Jack Woodward.
