N'Zogbia: I can bring ruthless streak to Villa's attack
Charles N'Zogbia has vowed to help bring a ruthless streak to Villa's play by chipping in with more goals and assists.
N'Zogbia scored twice last season following his move from Wigan Athletic - but the Frenchman insists he is capable of delivering much more.
The 26-year-old is looking to be more productive in the final third in a bid to flourish in Paul Lambert's attacking system.
"I definitely need to be getting a few more goals and a few more assists, that would be good," said N'Zogbia.
"The thing I've got in my mind is just to play my best, to show my skills and that would be a good start."
N'Zogbia was utilised on the right hand side of Villa's attack at West Ham on Saturday but has also featured as a second striker in pre-season.
The French international claims he is happy operating in a wide position or in 'the hole'.
"I've played in that position before when I was in Newcastle even when I was in Wigan so for me it is nothing new," he added.
"If he asks me to play in this position I would play because I know what to do and what not to do.
"And if I am playing in another position I am happy to play there too.
"For me it's just to be on the pitch, doing my best and winning the game."
N'Zogbia has urged Villa to go on the attack in front of their home faithful in Saturday's clash against Everton.
He believes Lambert's team can make Villa Park a venue for visiting teams to fear this term.
"At Villa Park we have to have that winning mentality at home," he said.
"We have to play for our fans and play for our club and make sure that when teams come to Villa Park they're going to know that it will be a hard place for them to win here.
"We have to definitely make sure we show the other team that we're going to play in their half."
