Villa's matches against Watford in the Professional Development League and U18 League have been called off.

The boys in claret and blue were due to face the Hornets at Bodymoor Heath in the U18 League this Saturday before meeting them in new U21 competition on Monday.

But Watford have notified the Premier League and Football League of their intention to withdraw from the new fixture programme.

It means Villa's U18 and U21 sides will now begin their league campaigns against Stoke City on Saturday August 25.
